Jeffrow's BLOG!

I have to say, last Saturday we had a great show at the Tipton Legion. The music sounded fantastic. Brian did a great job with our sound. That place can be difficult to get a decent sounding mix. We had lots of good feedback from people at the show. That's always a good thing. The new songs are coming along nicely. I have been working on one for practice. Hopefully we can work it out before we are back here in Anderson. I have been watching a DARK SHADOWS marathon on Chiller all day. This show use to scare the crap out of me back when I was a kid. Not all that bad now. But still kind of creepy. Think I'll turn the light on.    What was that?   Oh, just the dog.

Jeffrow's BLOG!

What a FANTASTIC day this has been. I Love spring time. Our show at the Anderson Eagles Lodge this last Saturday evening was awesome. We had a great crowd.  And now I guess, we are playing there next month. Then again in August. I am looking forward to that. We have this cool new song Lonnie sings. It is a Brooks & Dunn tune called Cowgirls Don't Cry.  Next weekend we are back at the Tipton American Legion. That should be a fun time as well. Hopefully, Fred will be able to play this gig with us. He is about to begin the racing season,so he will be busy most of the Summer. His beautiful Steel Guitar and vocals will truly be missed while he is gone. Fred will be playing shows with us when he is free to do that. And hopefully he will return after the racing season ends. Take care everyone. See you this weekend...

Good Afternoon everyone. How about this awesome weather we are having this week? It is cookout time once again. Summer is right around the corner. And I am looking forward to that. I want to invite you all to come out this Saturday night. We will be at the Anderson Eagles Lodge from 7:00 p m to 11:00 p m.  Be sure to let a band member know if you have a song you would like us to add to our play list. We are always open to suggestions. We may, or may not be able to pull it off. But we can always try.

Hi Humans! Finally. A timely BLOG post. What a concept. Hey, Sh-t happens... Saturday night was awesome. We had a blast playing some stuff we once had in our nightly set list. And considering how long ago that was for some of them, I think we did a pretty good job. The crowd seemed to enjoy the music as much as we did playing it. BUT, all was not good... Byron messed up his thumb on a stage light tripod stand. I am not quite sure how he managed to do it. But he did it bad... I am hoping he will be okay to work this Saturday night at Tipton.  Update! We are NOT going to be at the Eagles in Alexandria in March. I understand they double booked us with another band. OUCH! We will be back there in April. So the gig at the Anderson Eagles is the only one we have for March, so far. Stay tuned...

Hi everyone. I am trying to set things up so i can actually put out a NEW blog post every Tuesday night. And as you can see, I am not off to such a good start. BUT that is the plan... I am looking forward to playing this weekend at the Dunkirk Moose. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. Next month we will be playing here in my hometown of Anderson, at the Eagles Lodge. It would be awesome to have a BIG crowd show up at that gig. Remember now, we are at the Alexandria Eagles Lodge. Every month on the second Saturday from 8:00 p m to 12:00 a m.  Also keep in mind, if you ever want the band to play a party, we can sometimes fit those into our booking schedule. Jeffrow's BLOG
So, here I am once again with a somewhat overdue BLOG entry. This is the first one from my NEW computer. And the first time I have had this year to actually set down and try to put some coherent sentences together here for someone to read. Hopefully it won't be too boring. 
   Last year ended about as bad as it gets for me. We lost our MOM after a brief illness. Now the family is in a state of shock, trying to recover somehow. I thought she would be around for a long time. I guess this just goes to show you, we don't know what is waiting right around the next corner. The best we can do is make sure we have a strong relationship with GOD. And that we have made clear just how much we love our families and friends. 
   This year I hope I can be a better Dad, a better friend, a better person, a better steward of the time I have. We will see how that goes. Hopefully, I will write a new song. I am going to try that one. I am also hopeful that my band will be playing a few more shows this year. And hopefully 
we can pick up a few NEW songs to play out. So I guess you could say, I am hopeful about the NEW year. Hopeful and optimistic. I think things will start looking better as soon as the season changes. I never did care much for Winter. It seams like, the older I get, the more cold weather hurts. Hopefully, global warming will kick in soon... 
   I am thinking about putting together a MySpace page, or perhaps something on Face Book. Not sure just yet. But my kids are pushing the idea. I did create my own YouTube channel, with my daughter Tories' help...    I do apologize for the extemporaneously written BLOG. The next one will be a bit more creative.

Been A While!!!

CoolWell I wanted to let everyone know about things that are happening with our band. As you all know by now Fred our bass player is leaving to help his grandson pursue his dreams of race car driving. We wish them the best and you should definatley look fro Fred to pop up on stage with us from time to time. He has told us whenever he gets a chance he will show up with his steel guitar! And for those of you who havent heard Fred play steel...wow....he's good.

 So that left us with a dilemma, one that we werent quite sure if we would recover from. Just when I thought we were going to be cancelling shows a guy from Hagerstown named Kyle Cross contacted us and walaaaa, he's a new bass guitar player. Kyle has a long background in music and I think will do well with the band. His first show will be with us at one of our favorite places to play, the Alexandria Eagles to a packed house on the 12th of August. They are celebrating their 100th anniversary and look to have a really big crowd that night. So look for us to be selling t-shirts soon and come see us in action! PEACE FOR NOW!    "T"
